JOE STANDERLINE
Joe is a Dramatist with more than fifty professionally produced
works to his name. His adaptation of the award winning Robert
Swindells novel, ‘Stone Cold’ is now on the welsh GCSE Syllabus. He is
also a drama tutor for the highly acclaimed SLP Theatre School in
Leeds, delivering sessions in classic and modern texts for the Trinity
Drama Syllabus. Joe is an experienced workshop facilitator working
with school, colleges, excluded young people and community groups. He
completed an MA in Screenwriting from Liverpool John Moores University
in 2004.

Joe adapts novels into stage plays for Oxford University Press,
Heinemann and Harcourt Education. He also produces script based
training material for various sectors with the NHS and the Social Care
Institute for Excellence. In addition, he writes professional
Pantomime scripts for large scale venues.
Joe has twenty years professional experience as an actor for large,
medium and small scale theatre. He played the Tin Woodsman in the
recent sell out production of The Wizard of Oz at the Lowry, along
side Lorna Luft. Television roles include characters on Shameless,
Hollyoaks, Clocking Off & Stan The Man.
Publications include Exchanges (2005 OUP) and play adaptations of
Robert Swindells’ Brother in the Land (2004 OUP), Daz 4 Zoe (2000
Heinemann), Room 13 (1999 Heinemann) and Stone Cold (1993 Stanley
Thornes).
Workshops and performance
Joe specialises in character and story structure and is committed to
designing bespoke workshop packages including all forms of drama and
creative writing.
Recent projects include;
'Generation 2, Livertopia' Working with six schools to write,
rehearse and produce a comedy show for the 2009 Capital of `culture
celebrations.
'Liverpool Biennial' a series of writing workshops inspired by the art
work.
'Our Walton' a cross generational local History DVD project,
'Find Your Talent' Masterclass writing sessions for the Bluecoat in
Liverpool.
