ELEANOR REES


Poet. Winner of Eric Gregory Award for Poetry 2002.
Performances in Merseyside, London, Yorkshire, East Anglia and Ledbury Poetry Festival.
Collaborated in The Word Hoard project Demo/Text for Huddersfield Poetry Festival 1999.
Holds an MA Creative Writing : Poetry and was taught by Poet Laureate Andrew Motion.
Has recently returned to Merseyside and runs poetry workshops in playschemes and in schools.

Commissions include www.speakerscorner.org.uk, an interactive SMS and Internet poem displayed in Huddersfield town centre and poems for City Memories, NMGM.
Publications include Feeding Fire (Spout Publications, Huddersfield 2001) and poems in Paper, Scissors, Stone (UEA, Norwich 2002). NEW BOOK: Andrastes Hair (Salt Modern Poets)

Workshops

Eleanor completed the Writers' Attachment Scheme in 2003, and has led poetry workshops in schools and community venues on Merseyside.
Performance/workshops with Key Stages 2, 3 and 4.
